Lucy Warner Has Managed To Fall In Love With Her Roommate Who Has Been Dead For About Years Since He S Been Haunting Her Bedroom From The Time When She Was A Baby, They Have Grown To Be Very Good Friends A Secret That No One Else Knows About, Not Even Her Best Friend Ling But Lucy Wonders If It Is Possible To Be Than Just Friends, As She Realizes Ryan Is The Perfect Guy For HerIt Is The Summer After High School Graduation Lucy Finds Herself Newly Single, And Slightly Bitter After A Bad Breakup When Ling Sets Her Up On A Date With Jon, She Plays Along To Try And Forget About Her Ghost And Get On In Life With A Real Living Guy But When She Finds Out Jon Can See Ghosts Too, Keeping Her Secret Gets A Little Complicated Actual rating 3.25This was an okay read, but i felt bored at points.Lucy was an alright character, and i felt really sorry for her at one point I can t say i loved her though. The pacing could be a bit slow, and i was quite bored at times because of it I just wanted things to move a bit faster than they were This ended on a cliffhanger, and i m interested to see what will happen in book two because of it Overall, Okay read, but dragged in areas. As a true believer that we all have guardian angels, Ryan is Lucy s perfect GA We never know the direction our life with go, or the reasons why, but we do need to believe that every thing happens for a reason Ms Jones brought Ryan to life inways than one and I can t wait to read the 2nd book Kudos to Heather Jones and The Ghost In My Bedroom. I ve been in a reading slump lately, I was so very bored with the same thing over and over again and this book was my savior It was an amazing experience reading this, probably one of the few books that ever moved me this much I don t easily cry or get that invested in books but this one managed to do that I was never bored reading it, actually I wanted to know every little detail of what was happening I was excited, I was swooning, I was angry and most of all sad, because I could literally I ve been in a reading slump lately, I was so very bored with the same thing over and over again and this book was my savior It was an amazing experience reading this, probably one of the few books that ever moved me this much I don t easily cry or get that invested in books but this one managed to do that I was never bored reading it, actually I wanted to know every little detail of what was happening I was excited, I was swooning, I was angry and most of all sad, because I could literally feel the characters emotions. The story was original and it felt that way It didn t use the same recycled plots nor the same character canvases The main girl Lucy is best friends with a ghost Ryan who is practically living in her room, because obviously she sees the dead and he s stuck there He s never left her side since the day she was born Lucy was a really fun character to read about She wasn t the most popular kid at school yet she wasn t the plain Jane that seems to be present in every book nowadays either She was talented, hardworking, had a good connection with her family and had no trouble making friends Of course she could be your typical teenager young adult at times too But that didn t make her unlikable, actually quite the opposite she seemed very real Ryan seemed very real too even though he was a ghost He wasn t your typical alpha hero who constantly throws Like what you see every moment he gets He was a pretty normal guy albeit a dead one Of course, he was lonely and emotional and prone to little angry outbursts when Lucy was beingcareless, but it was understandable giving his situation The fact that he was dead for so long and the only person who could see him was Lucy and she was being a brat sometimes and also the fact that he was only able to view the world and not being able to experience it But that didn t stop him from being a total sweetheart to her and not wanting to stop being friends, even after a big fight and just in general always being there for her He never told her what to do or pressured her in any way even if he wasn t happy with her choices Their relationship was built over time no insta love here guys and their interactions were the best thing about this book It didn t matter if they were laughing, crying, bickering or just chatting it always felt authentic and I couldn t help myself from rooting for them even though I knew there was no way of that ever happening The supporting cast Lucy s family and friends which often feel like filler characters in other books, were fleshed out perfectly and all had distinct personalities I m not lying when I say I loved every single one of them The author did an amazing job creating a realistic atmosphere and characters which you could easily love despite their faults This is basically a ghost story mixed with everyday life things like having a job, hanging out with friends, dating, college, being bored, being tired etc.Honestly all I can I say without ruining the book for you is that this is a gem and if you want to read something different, fall in love and experience the most excruciating heartbreak ever, this book is for you There were bits of this book that worked really well for me and other bits that were lacking I really liked the concept of the story Lucy grows up being able to see a ghost, Ryan who died when he was 19, throughout her childhood he is a play friend, and as she gets older he is someone to talk to and share things with and when she is in her teens realises she has fallen for him But thankfully she also realises the futility of this and tries to date Lucy has dated someone in the past for a whi There were bits of this book this and tries to date Lucy has dated someone in the past for a while but did not fall in love Lucy meets Jon, and finally she starts to feel something for a guy who is not a ghost So the point of this story for me going in is, is the love of the ghost going to win out or the new guy A really good thing about this book is the fact that Jon is a great guy, so you like him I liked that you are meant to like him Often in books when it is a choice between two guys one will be a bit of a slime ball, so it is not really much of a choice, but because Jon is a nice guy it makes the reader getinvested in Lucy s choice I really like it when they are both nice guys Jon has his own secrets too and it is pretty obvious from the beginning that he too can see ghosts This is one part that annoyed me Lucy works this out early so this is not a spoiler and talks to him about it, but does not tell him she can Why not Why keep this secret As for the ghost Ryan, he was quiet a mystery, he was both a fun sweet guy, but also abrupt and rude This is explained well given that you can tell he is keeping his real feelings for Lucy secret, and he feels he is losing her to Jon But I neededof Ryan and Lucy together I felt like I was only told half their story and things were being kept for me The interaction between Jon and Lucy was brilliant, but between Ryan and Lucy, I felt like I was being short changed, and for me the point of this book was what would happen between Ryan and Lucy I really liked Ryan and wantedof him.The ending of this book is very dramatic, I don t know what I expected, maybe something similar to this but not all of it So that made it good, that it was not some completely obvious ending But at the same time the ending nearly felt rushed, left me with lots of questions, and I m not sure how much I liked it Having said that, the second book may make me love this series, and give me all the answers I am missing, and this book gave me enough that I want to know what happens next Lucy, Ryan and Jon were good likeable characters in a pretty interesting story I will be reading the next one. Will I read it again Before the next one Well, to be honest I wanted to read this book because the premise of the book intrigued me.to fall in love with a ghost It was interesting to see how the author wrote in another love interest It was also an interesting, but yet somewhat sad ending I felt overall the book was okay My biggest gripe was about the endingI felt the author wrapped it up too quickly What I enjoyed most about the book, however, was the story me It would have been interesting to have known some stories of the two main characters from when she was younger Yes, I remember the author recounting the story of the ghost singing lullabies to her when she was young, but that was about it Overall, an okay read Estoy tan molesta con este libro La sinopsis me atrapo, digo, a qui n no le atrapa el tema fantasma chica viva Pero no es nada de eso Ella pasa todo el libro encaprichada con este chico Jon, su novio Aunque ella dice todo el tiempo que esta enamorada de Ryan con quien nunca esta y al que siempre abandona Pase el 95% del libro enojada esperando que pasar algo con Ryan y cuando pasa, es un chiste El personaje de Lucy lo odie, odie todo de ella, su personalidad, su car cter, todo Ryan es l Estoy tan molesta con este libro La
